WELCOME!

Welcome to my blog. Thanks for dropping by. Hope you'll stay and enjoy reading about where I've been and what I've been doing!

I don't mean this to be a replacement for personal emails, but it gives me the chance to put up photos and my scrapbook layouts, so I don't block up your in-boxes, or have to send the same photos and stories to everyone separately!
Thanks, and welcome, to the followers of my blog. I'm very honoured that you enjoy it. Drop me some comments from time to time! It's good to hear what you think about the posts. Come back again soon.

Thanks also to Mary of Mary's Mixes for doing all the work on the blog's heading. You are great, Mary!

Surprise!!

Don and Nancy got back from their Yorkshire travels today. They have done lots in just a few days, and have just this week left before flying home on Monday. We are going to Edinburgh tomorrow, Fife on Thursday, the Falkirk Wheel on Saturday and Glasgow on Sunday. I think we'll go to East Lothian on Friday, if they like the idea.

I wasn't expecting them back till tomorrow and when Nancy called me around 6.00p.m. I thought they were going to give me their itinerary and ETA! We're in Peebles! she told me! They came from Whitby today, returning by Housesteads, a Roman fort right beside Hadrian's Wall.

I saw all their photos over a cup of tea and some "cookies", before Moosie hamster woke up and came out to play with them! She moves fast, does Moosie, and is a blur in just about all the pics I took!

Then we had tea at the Courthouse Restaurant and made our plans for tomorrow. I will meet them at Waverley Railway Station and we will go and do some ancestral home hunting as well as visit a few places they might not get to see without someone "in the know"! Hope the weather's better than it has been today!
Talk again soon.
